Elbrus grew up in Ossetia, where he excelled in Jigitovka—a riding technique originally developed by horse cavalry for battle. What started as a combat skill evolved into an art form and celebrated equestrian sport, later finding its place in the entertainment industry.

At the age of 15, Elbrus joined the prestigious Moscow State Circus School, where he trained and later performed with the Moscow State Circus for several years. He then partnered with Muhtarbek Kantimirov in a horse stunt theatre, captivating audiences across Europe with their performances.

Having trained horses from an early age, Elbrus continued his passion after relocating to South Africa, working on numerous feature films and television commercials, including 10,000 BC and The Flight of the Phoenix, as a skilled stunt rider and performer. Beyond his equestrian expertise, he is also a martial arts trainer and has been featured in numerous fight scenes throughout his career.

Elbrus later trained his two sons, passing down his knowledge and skill. What began as his personal passion has now grown into a family-run business, continuing the tradition of excellence in equestrian performance and horse training.
